Bread Pudding Recipe

This is an easy to make bread pudding using the simple kitchen ingredients. The dish is buttery, but not too heavy. This classic dessert is perfect for parties.



• 1 lb crusty artisan bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
• 4 cups of whole milk
• 8 large eggs
• 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
• 3 cups raisins
• 1 cup cream
• 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Cooking time:1 hour
Ready:1 hour 35 min

1.Spread the bread in a single layer on a baking sheet and place it in a preheated oven to 300 F degree for 15-20 minutes, until dry
2.Increase the oven temperature to 350 degree F. Apply butter to a 4-quart casserole dish and set it on top of the baking sheet and leave it aside
3.Mix the bread and milk in a large bowl and let the ingredients sink until the milk is absorbed. This will take about 10 minutes. Stir in the eggs, cream, cinnamon, raisins, sugar and vanilla
4.Pour the ingredients into the casserole dish and allow it to stand for 20 minutes. This will allow the bread to soak well in the mix
5.Spread the raisins evenly so that they are distributed all over
6.Top it with butter pieces
7.Place the baking sheet with casserole dish in the oven and bake for 55-60 minutes
8.Allow the pudding to cool for at least 15-20 minutes before serving
