Preparing the beef and potatoes

Before we dive into the cooking process, let’s take a moment to properly prepare the ingredients. First, grab your beef and cut it into 1-2 inch cubes. This bite-sized shape will ensure that the beef cooks evenly and absorbs all the delicious flavors.

Next, cut your bany potatoes into halves. These potatoes are perfect for this dish as they hold their shape well during the cooking process and have a creamy, buttery texture.

Preparing the Garlic Butter Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Mix these ingredients together until they’re well incorporated, creating a fragrant garlic butter that will infuse your dish with incredible flavor.

Cooking garlic butter beef and potatoes in a Pressure Cooker

Now that we’ve prepped our ingredients, let’s get started on the Pressure Cooker method. Start by selecting the “Sauté” function on your Pressure Cooker. Once the inner pot is hot, add the cubed beef and brown it on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per batch. This step helps to lock in the beef’s natural juices and adds a delightful caramelized flavor.

After the beef is browned, turn off the Sauté function and add the potato halves, garlic butter, herbs, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and beef broth to the pot. Secure the lid, making sure the valve is set to the “Sealing” position.

Cook the garlic butter beef and potatoes on the “Pressure Cook” or “Manual” setting for 20 minutes. Once the cooking time is up, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes before carefully turning the valve to the “Venting” position to release any remaining pressure.

When the pressure has fully released, remove the lid and give the dish a gentle stir. The garlic butter should have melted and blended beautifully with the beef broth, creating a rich, savory sauce that coats every bite. Serve this Presse cooker garlic butter beef and potatoes hot, garnished with additional fresh parsley if desired.

Cooking garlic butter beef and potatoes in a slow cooker

Begin by placing the cubed beef and potato halvs into your slow cooker. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the top, then dollop the garlic butter mixture and herbs over the meat and potatoes. Gently stir the ingredients together, ensuring that the beef and potatoes are evenly coated.

Finally, pour the beef broth into the slow cooker, being careful not to disturb the layered ingredients. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is fork-tender and the potatoes are easily pierced with a fork.

Once the cooking time is up, remove the lid and give the dish a gentle stir. The garlic butter should have melted and blended beautifully with the beef broth, creating a rich, savory sauce that coats every bite.
