In a rectangular box, combine the bread flour, warm water, salt, instant yeast and olive oil. Mix until a sticky dough forms.Cover the box with lid a for about 45 minutes.
Fill a cup with water and dip a small amount of water into your hands. Next, stretch and fold the dough on all four sides. Cover the dough with a lid and set it aside for 30 minutes. Repeat this process two times, then close the lid and let the dough rest for 40 minutes.
Lightly flour your work surface and transfer the dough onto it. Fold the dough over itself a few times to shape it into a rough rectangle. Be gentle to preserve the air bubbles.
Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a rectangular loaf. Place the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise for another 45 minute.
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a baking dish filled with water on the bottom rack. This will create steam and help develop a crispy crust.
Once the dough has risen, carefully transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Remove the ciabatta bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
