Bread pudding is the most comforting foods and most people will agree to this. The Irish bread pudding with whiskey caramel sauce is ideal for st. Patrick’s Day with so many flavors. It is warm and delicious and easy to make bread pudding too.
Ingredients

For whiskey caramel sauce
1.Mix in sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat
2.Keep stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Stop stirring and allow it to simmer until the mixture is golden. This will take around 17 minutes. Do not stir and now remove from heat
3.Carefully add cream cheese and butter. Whisk this continuously until the clumps have disappeared. At this point the mixture will be very hot and can bubble up at this stage. Mix in whiskey and milk to this. The mix will start bubbling again, now leave it aside
For Bread Pudding
1.In a large mixing bowl add heavy cream, vanilla extract, sugar, eggs, evaporated milk and 2/3 cups of caramel whiskey sauce. Mix them well
2.Add bread cubes. Using a spatula push down and ensure that each piece of bread is coated well
3.Allow it to refrigerate for minimum 30 minutes
4.Preheat the oven to 350 degree F. If you are using a casserole dish spray 13×9-inch baking dish with a cooking spray
5.Pour the bread mixture into the prepared casserole dish
6.Sprinkle the top with cinnamon, sugar mixture and raisins or chocolate chip if you don’t like raisins
7.Bake for 35 minutes or until it is set.
8.Serve it warm with more caramel whiskey sauce
