Ingredients
  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 cup of frozen blueberries
  • ¾ cup of almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 medium banana
Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender, and puree until smooth.

I have a crap ton of kale in my garden right now and a huge bag of frozen blueberries. Once I freeze the kale, I’ll be drinking blueberry and kale smoothies for breakfast all year long!

I watched this documentary the other day ago on Netflix called Knives vs Forks. It’s about these doctors who discovered that eating a whole food plant based diet, could cure disease and reverse bad things like high blood pressure and cholesterol. It was interesting to see that just by eating grains, vegetables, and fruits and no protein from animals could help make a person feel so much better about themselves. The documentary inspired me to start eating more greens, hence the reason why I made this smoothie!
